Women of Grace

Women of Grace is a group for women in the Charlotte metro which meets monthly for the purpose of healthy, encouraging and affirming fellowship.

Grace: (noun) 1. Simple elegance or refinement of movement. 2. Courteous goodwill.

(verb) 1. do honor or credit to someone or something by one’s presence. 3. In Christian belief, the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. A period officially allowed for payment of a sum due or for compliance with a law or condition, especially an extended period granted as a special favor. 5. A short prayer of thanks said before or after a meal. Used as forms of description or address for a duke, duchess or archbishop. 7. In Greek mythology, three beautiful goddesses believed to personify and bestow charm, grace and beauty.

Requests:

  1. What we talk about here, stays here.
  2. We naturally will treat one another with kindness, respect and, obviously, grace.
  3. Please check politics, denominationalism, anger, negativity, multilevel marketing/business networking, and personal agendas at the door.
  4. We will recognize and celebrate the beauty and preciousness of each individual in attendance. We will not gossip, be catty or mean.
  5. Proceed slowly with new friends and let your relationships grow organically. It takes time and trust for relationships to develop. Protect your personal information and heart. Sometimes sharing our vulnerabilities prematurely creates pain.
  6. Have fun.
  7. Be mindfully present. Taste and enjoy your food. Look at the faces of those around you. Note colors and fragrances you enjoy. What sounds do you hear? Engage with those around you. Breathe and let the worries of life and people outside of this place and moment fade away for the brief time we are together. When you get in your car to leave, pause and think of that and those you found enriching.
