There are times in our lives when merely getting through the day becomes unimaginably difficult.
Your partner cheated. You’re sexually assaulted. You or someone you love is diagnosed with a terminal illness.
You realize you can’t shake sadness or feelings of anger or oppression. You have an addiction.
Your children are having problems at school or won’t sleep at night.
You’re getting divorced. Someone you love dies.
I don’t tell clients how to live their lives. I merely use the best techniques available to provide healing and restoration to psychological wellness and stability, empowering clients to make decisions that improve their lives, families, relationships and well-being.
Meet Roberta
As a psychotherapist who specializes in trauma, I am no stranger to the situations listed above and many others. By using research-driven psychological theories, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and cutting edge techniques like EMDR, considered the most effective treatment for PTSD, I can help you find peace and joy again.
I’m a person just like you.
I’m raising my own children. I’ve been caregiver for elderly parents who have suffered from brain cancer, dementia and stroke. I’ve experienced living with an addict. I’ve felt the pain of broken relationships, family dysfunction, church conflict, and the challenges of professional and personal obligations. I’m very much a realist.
I know how hard life can be.
